Teatro Filipino group in Hong Kong is going on a big stage for a musical called “Ang Ugoy Ng Duyan”. Less than a year after ago, the group performed an excerpt of Jose Rizal the Musical during the Buwan ng Wika celebration, held at Philippine Consulate General office at Admiralty, Teatro Filipino is a newly organised performing group for Young Filipinos living in HK. A creative outlet for education on Filipino culture and heritage, Teatro Filipino in Hong Kong will produce a first of its kind musical show for Filipino youths and Families in Hong Kong.We have 31 performing young Filipinos ages 5-28 years old. Majority of them can hardly understand & speak Filipino but are currently doing their best to know and speak the language in the play.
It is now very alarming to see the news on TV and newspapers everyday. Drugs and criminality are the main part of the news.
It’s epidemic and it’s scary as hell that our beloved country is now becoming the next narco state capital in world. Thanks to the current administration. We do have Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) who think they’re doing their job in suppressing this problem but they can’t. This problems remains a socio-economic menace. A number of reported crimes has been rising, while the ability of the police to solve crimes has decreased.
Finally, long wait is over. The epic Filipino film “Heneral Luna” by Jerrold Tarog is coming to Hong Kong. An exclusive free screening will be held on March 6, 2016, 5:30pm at 14/F Philippine Consulate in Admiralty Centre, Hong Kong. This event is being organized by Section Juan Hong Kong, in cooperation with Sentro Rizal, Philippine Consulate General of Hong Kong and Artikulo Uno Productions.

The Cold Weather Warning is now in force in the territory and Filipinos especially the domestic helpers who stay out on Sundays will be threatened with an intense cold snap due to polar vortex coming from North China.

The Consulate General of the Philippines just posted Advisory regarding the implementation of the International Passengers Service Charge (Terminal Fee) which took effect last February 1, 2015.
This means that terminal fee of Php550 is now integrated in purchasing airline ticket.The reason for this is to ease the traffic inside the airports caused by the long queue of passengers paying terminal fees.
