Imagine the streets of Lan Kwai Fong transformed into a Rio Street Carnival, Mardi Gras style. The atmosphere turns into a haven of pleasure for all those who love food, drink, entertainment and fun. Become mesmerized with the rhythm of the sizzling Latin dancers as they move to the beat of the drums. Visit a fortune-teller to see if your future desires will come true. Stop at any one of over 80 stalls to enjoy a beer or cocktail, Satay or Crepes, Roasted Pork or Chilli, all for under $30! You can also have your face painted, or shop for local artist wares and crafts. Whether you are watching the singers perform or sitting to enjoy a pizza, everywhere you go on the streets of Lan Kwai Fong during the Rio Street Carnival will be a show you will never forget.
The Lan Kwai Fong Goes Rio Street Carnival is a great day out for young and old. The children get their own mini-carnival along Wo On Lane, which will be transformed into the Toys R Us Kid’s Street. There will be games, toys, face painting, magicians, snacks, bouncy castle; everything to keep them occupied for hours.
Wo On Lane leads to the Lok Hing Lane Park, which is an amphitheatre that will host a wide variety of performances throughout the weekend. Comedy shows, live singers, circus acts, cocktail flaring – the schedule will be packed throughout the day and into the night.
Around the main streets of Lan Kwai Fong will be over 80 booths and stalls, offering everything from snacks to beers, tattoos to t-shirts, caps to earrings. There will be regular parades of sexy Brazilian girls, live African drums, clowns, jugglers, acrobats and more Brazilian girls. There will also be regular performances on 2 mini-stages – one outside California Tower, the other outside The Cavern. Rain or shine, the action will go on.
