i know may specific thread each for disney and ocean park. but since general ang question ko, xenxia na kung dito sya epost.
my question is about the no food rule in these parks. is this absolute, as in lahat ng dadaan sa esophagus ay bought from within? how about candies, peanuts, etc. baka naman pwede nang magdala nito? mahigpit ba inspection nila on these items? wala naman sigurong xray dun?
balak kasi naming magbaon ng sangkatutak na cornek at growers from pinas
these are our staple hiking foods.
how about sa The peak and ngong ping, pwede bang magdala ng food and gatorade?

SF, not sure about peanuts, but candies, pwede naman, ako kasi i think me dala akong 10 maxx candies sa bulsa ko, hindi naman sinita, wag lang siguro isang plastic. hehehehe
hindi ko matandaan kung nagbubukas sila ng bag sa disney, i vaguely remember na parang nag check sila ng bags e. as for OP, sabi ni wifey nagcheck daw ng gamit e. but i think water, pwede naman.
the peak and ngong ping, dun kahit magbaon kayo, ok lang dahil wala akong naaalala na me nag checheck ng gamit namin. unless naghigpit bigla sila. hehehe
will you be taking the peak tram sa the peak or by bus? by the way, if you go to the peak, labas kayo ng peak tower and check yung paths sa likod. andami pang areas to view the HK skyline, hindi lang yung sky tower (albeit, mas maganda sya dahil walang harang ang view, ba't kasi me bayad pa eh. hehehe)

sf, sa Disneyland, binubuksan yung bag upon entry, pero kami pag pumupunta dun, nakaka
lusot pa rin yung chichirias. '
Sa Ocean park, wlang kapaan, kaya pwedeng magbaon dun. Everytime we go with
my family, me dala kaming lunch box for 2 kids, chaka nakalagay sya lagi sa baba ng stoller
ng anak ko
cornik and peanuts, pwedeng makalusot yan. Dala ka na rin ng boy bawang.

Hi,that's a really gud idea. lalo na kung libre, hehehe
ano po name ng congee resto?
while on it, advise naman please kung san maganda at murang kainan (preferably with rice meals) in these areas:
ocean park
the peakcentral
tung chung
kowloon city food district
TST
avenue of stars
we adjusted our itinerary based on the inputs from you guys. and most probably sa areas na to kami aabutan ng gutom. if possible yung may rice. part yata kami sa cause ng rice shortage dito sa phil!
kung meron foods na must try in other areas, we'd love to hear about them too.
thanks much!

SF, naku hindi naman po pro camera gamit ko, entry level na dslr lang po yun. tsamba lang sa kuha.
kung wifi, not sure kung meron sa OP or disney though, but I have read somewhere na sa MTR stations, me mga lugar na me hotspots. You could also try kung me mapickup kayo sa room ninyo na hotspot. I tried it on our place, meron naman, kaso, me password e.
Kaya what we did was (jologs man) nagpunta kami sa mga phonebooth ng PCCW kasi they have wifi sa booths nila, actually, basta malapit ka sa booth pwede na. PCCW offers free wifi access for 1 month, i think all you have to do is register lang sa site nila when you try accessing the net in/near the booth.
haaayyy, rice. hehehe medyo me kahirapan para sa akin maghanap ng kainan na me rice sa HK, but there are some. Aside from KFC and Yoshinoya, Eat Together comes to mind. Also, OP has some place there na me rice meals din.
Also, just a tip, before ordering, try asking if they have english menus, kung meron, they will immediately show you to a seat naman. If they don't, check kung me picture menu nila, kung wala, lipat kayo ulit. Language barrier talaga ang main problem eh.

madami kayong pwedeng kainan ng rice meals sa HK, not just KFC. try "canteen", "MX" (ba yun?, basta masarap ang curry dun), "Cafe de Coral" (i miss baked porkchop!) - mga fast food places yan sa HK, as in anywhere meron parang mcdo. budget is less than HKD30 pag walang drink
hayyy... i miss lan kwai fong... and yung mga gimik nating mga PHKers (videoke and bowling nights!)

Hi, thanks for all your inputs.
I've read somewhere else about cafe de coral and maxims. I've also found QQRice on the net. Any comment on them please? And saan safe kumain ng streetfoods? we plan to go on a food trip and try out their delicacies. I've read also na mahal daw ang bottled water dyan sa HK? dun kasi sa isang forum, may nag advice to bring water if may extra sa luggage allowance.
