This will longer post than usual as we’re going to include the full set of Arnel Pineda and Journey’s February 21 performance in Chile’s FESTIVAL VIÑA DEL MAR which were uploaded on youtube.com courtesy of Hitcoke.
The 15,000 Chilean crowds can’t be wrong and were at awe and screaming with ecstasy at his energetic performance. Arnel’s first live performance with the band was awesome, simply spectacular, and got 2 encores plus 3 special awards EXCELLENCE in STAGE performance to boot!!!

Update: Journey was awarded the “highest award” in the open competition of the festival - the group received the LA GAVIOTA DE PLATA (The Gull of Silver) maximum award. Journey beat out the competition by a popular order of the public (in attendance and tv viewership); Earth, Wind & Fire was one of the opponents in the group category. Arnel Pineda, himself, won two (2) torches, the prestigious Gold award and another one in silver during the international competition amongst vocalists on the second day of the Festival of the Vine of the Sea. BRAVO!

JOURNEY IS BACK! rock the music world. Good choice, Neal and you will have no regret. The guy is dead-serious on being JOURNEY’s lead singer. I am still one of JOURNEY’s music lover, Thanks for all the effort. And to Arnel, keep it up.

Arnel may not be a Steve Perry but he is surely the real deal. Journey made the right choice for their front man and hopefully the band will live on longer with their music and their new found sparkling gem, Arnel.

I’ve seen all of these videos in YouTube day after they’re uploaded.
He did a good job out there, but honestly, I didn’t like his “Rubicon”
The rest, all great! Man, I lost some sleep that night.

yeah good performance.. but sometimes he needs to pronounce his words clearly .. . and yes his version of rubicon was so so.. but overall great concert considering it was his first major concert of this magnitude.. well done.

great voice, great personality, thank you journey that you found Arnel !!! although i am a huge fan of Steve Perry, but with Arnel Pineda i am so happy that journey is back with great vocalist.
