Jay Yap the captain ball of Acciona team was trying to stay optimistic. He turned out to be a prophet.

With only five (5) players on his Acciona team against eight (8 ) players from First Technology, facing what appeared to be a difficult win, Jay Yap tried to give them a last-second pep talk. “I told them strange things happen,” he said. “We might as well try to get something going”.

Did they ever.

Jinno Reyes and Jon Jon Angeles both scored 21 points, Jay Yap added 10 points, Rodel Inciong with 7 points and Edwin Galicia contributed 4 points to help the Acciona defeat the First Technology team 63-60 Saturday night.

Acciona team lead the game all throughout 14-10 (1st quarter) , 30-21 (2nd quarter), 47-38 (3rd quarter), they led as much as 10 points in the 2nd quarter with 6:00 minutes left in the quarter.

First Technology made a lot of turnovers that cost them the game. Bong Castro wasn’t the only one who struggled from First Technology, Art Barnachea was 1 of 8 from the free throw line for nine points. First Technology got only 5 points off the bench, 4 from Bong Castro and 1 point from GM.

With a minute left in regulation Rodel Inciong fouled out and Acciona was left with only 4 players. But they keep focus and composed even when First Technology tried to comeback to the game.

Our hats on to these five guys for playing all they’ve got for 40 minutes. They are all voted as the best players of this game.
